NOIR
Cripes... been almost 2 years since I got the 'groove' for this and has been on and off the hob ever since. The image of the lady with the gun was something I'd always liked and as a diversion whilst working on the music I threw them together - and I then went looking to create a 'story'... this is the result.
say goodnight
...After seeing picture of grandson Noah looking up at the moon and thinking.... would that not make a brilliant ALBUM COVER ... and then Carol saying "he's saying goodnight to the sea"... all of a sudden an idea that had been lurking in my musical in-try for a while had found a purpose.
top of your mountain
...whilst trawling thru old cassette tapes for inspiration I stumbled upon a little riff that I had no recollection of whatsoever... but thought it merited 'developing' so here it is.
b-cau$e
...Started as 60 second musical fiddle - found some interesting images - the video created an overhang - so took video into Cubase and wrote 2nd half around the video.... what is it about? All answers on a postcard.
NOTE Sounds best with 'phones' and obviously needs to be watched as a whole.
neuron
...I had been reading various 'idiots guide to the brain' type books and thought I'd re-interpret musically how a neutron worked... I then realised that I need to get out more! Life is way too short!
eyah
...We were heading towards Tokyo on the Bullet train. As we were approaching a remote station it looked like everyone on the platform was standing in a silent line, looking down at their phones - that image stuck in my head - and this is the result!
to another place
...didn't have a scoobies what this was or where it was supposed to be going... then I asked myself - "does it fulfil the objective" the short answer to that was yes! WHAT the objective was? I have no clue - but hey!
not you typical iceberg
...Is my second wholly orchestral composition. Once again it is 'created' using Spitfire's amazing BBC Symphony Orchestra 'Discover' and my newly acquired Abbey Road Low Strings. The piano supplied by my ancient DS-330.
pitter patter
..."The rain pitter patters on the bedroom floor - there's a hole in the ceiling wasn't there before"...those two lines have been lurking in my head for a while now. They seem happy here.
